The Artisan Bead Company – Terms and Conditions

We want you to have a pleasant experience shopping with us, and we want to be clear about everything before you place an order, and let you know what to expect afterwards if things didn’t go as you’d hoped. You can find information below on our terms and conditions. If for any reason you do have a problem, let us know… we will do our best to help!



The Artisan Bead Company is a supplier of handmade and commercially produced beads and findings. Due to the nature of handmade and natural items, beads, components and stones received may vary slightly to those pictured. Photographs are taken in natural daylight and colours are represented as closely as possible, but please bear in mind that individual monitors may represent colours differently. Please refer to item description for actual size dimensions, items may be larger or smaller than they appear on the screen. We always endeavour to provide you with the best quality we can and items are carefully selected at time of order.


We respect your privacy. No details are ever passed on to third parties, and credit card information cannot be stored or accessed by us in any form. We will take all precautions to keep your details secure, and (unless in the case of negligence), we will not be held liable for unauthorised access of information supplied by you.

No contract exists between the customer and The Artisan Bead Company until we receive and accept your order. If you wish to terminate the contract at any time, we must be notified in writing, unless goods have not been dispatched. If goods have not been dispatched, you may terminate the contract by telephone, or email. In the case of by email, the contract will not be considered cancelled until we have acknowledged and responded.

Payment is due with order, and ownership shall not pass to you until cleared funds are received. Orders unpaid within 24 hours entitle us to terminate the contract immediately.

Payments are taken using Paypal. You can use Paypal without an account by checking out as usual, where you will be redirected to a secure page for your payment details.

Postage & Delivery

All prices shown on are inclusive of taxes. All orders are subject to postal charges. UK shipping is charged at a flat rate of £2.50. Europe and ROW shipping charges are a flat rate of £5.00 regardless of order size. We aim to process orders within 24 hours Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays). Items sent in the UK will be dispatched by first class post and should arrive within 2-3 working days, but may take up to 14 days. Items dispatched outside the UK may take up to 21 days to arrive. We cannot guarantee delivery times unless a tracked service is requested. If you would like your order to be traceable, please get in touch for quotes.

The Artisan Bead Company will not be held liable for any potential import/customs charges on your order. It is the buyer’s responsibility to check costs before placing an order and to pay any duties owed.

Your right to cancel

You have a right to cancel your order with 7 days of receipt. If for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase, you may request a full refund provided the order is returned within 14 days. To claim a refund, you must notify us in writing within 7 days of receipt of your order, and return items unopened and in their original packaging. Cost of returns are the responsibility of the customer and we recommend you use a traceable means of return. i.e. recorded delivery. We cannot give refunds on items that are lost in transit. If for any reason goods received by you are damaged, please let us know on date of receipt, providing photographs of damage and we will replace your order.
